Location and Path of Mobile Police Station – Location Allocation Analysis, YANG YU HSIANG, 2019

Abstract

Police substation is a basic police unit for social security. Police substation nowadays is fixed to the construction. Nevertheless, the locations of accident and crime always change along with time. Stationary location allocation of traditional police substation is not best-matched to the locations that need police such as accident spots and crime spots. Accordingly, the aim of this research is to conduct an active location allocation for police substations, forming “mobile police substation.” The consequence will increase the police-administrative efficiency. This research chooses Zhongshan district of Taipei city, Taiwan as research field, and choose accident-happen spots as data for mobile police substation conduct analysis of active location allocation and the paths they move.

There is few research on the location allocation of police substation in the past. Among them, the research in the past almost adopts stationary location allocation of police substations. However, there are many research on active location allocation of Emergency Medical Services (abbr. EMS) which may be applied on the research on the location allocation of police substations. Accordingly, this research pioneeringly adopted the method of active location allocation and constitute four paths for mobile substation to move. This research generate a active allocation location flow for police substation and this flow may be applied to other places or even different public facilities. keyword:Mobile Police Substation、Network Analysis、Location Allocation、Active Location- Allocation
